A responsible, proactive attitude to environmental issues is an important part of our business. We try to prevent and reduce detrimental environmental impacts of our actions.
Corrugated board is an environmentally friendly packaging material. In Finland, its degree of recycling is over 90%. Degree of recovery is 99%, as it contains both recycling and use as energy, i.e. burning. Our corrugated board plant has a quality system certified in the ISO 9001:2008 standard, and our food safety managing system has been awarded the ISO 22000:2005 certificate.
The raw materials of corrugated board are renewable natural materials, wood fibers and starch glue. Our emissions are very low, as we receive the paper, our main raw material, on rolls. We use water-soluble flexo colors in printing. Our aim is to make each package to order and to use materials as they are needed.
